STRATEGIC PLAN of the Public Foundation “Our Century” 2026–2030

Since 2001, the Our Century Public Foundation has been promoting the sustainable development of the Kyrgyz Republic through information, education, monitoring, promoting civic participation and developing partnerships.
Over the years of its activity, the Foundation has contributed to the development of civil society, promoting the principles of transparency, increasing citizen awareness and strengthening public control mechanisms.
Modern challenges require more effective interaction between government agencies, citizens, civil society organizations and international partners. Issues of sustainable development, efficient use of resources and ensuring citizen participation in decision-making processes are of particular importance.
This Strategic Plan defines the priorities of the PF “Nash Vek” for 2026–2030 and is aimed at further developing mechanisms of public participation, monitoring and accountability.
The Foundation will continue to work to ensure that knowledge, openness and citizen participation become the basis for sustainable change in the Kyrgyz Republic.

Public Foundation “Our Century” is an independent civil society organization established in 2001.
The Fund’s main activities are aimed at promoting sustainable development, developing civic participation, increasing the transparency of development processes and strengthening interaction between society, government agencies, international organizations and other stakeholders.
Throughout its activities, the Foundation implements initiatives in the field of:
• sustainable development;
• public monitoring;
• analysis of development projects;
• informing and educating citizens;
• promoting civil initiatives;
• participation in national and international development processes.

Vision
Society is interested and takes concrete actions aimed at sustainable development.

PF “Our Century” sees a future in which citizens have knowledge, have access to information, participate in decision-making and are able to influence the processes that determine the development of society.
Mission
Promoting sustainable development through information, education, monitoring, lobbying. Activation and involvement of citizens to participate in world\global processes.

To achieve its mission, the Foundation develops public monitoring mechanisms, conducts research, disseminates information, promotes the development of civil initiatives and strengthens dialogue between all participants in development processes.

Values ​​of PF “Our Century”

Theory of change PF “Our Century”
PF “Nash Vek” proceeds from the fact that sustainable development is possible in the presence of an informed and active society, transparent management and effective use of development resources.
The Foundation believes that change occurs through:
• access of citizens to reliable information;
• public participation in decision-making processes;
• independent monitoring of development projects;
• development of dialogue between the state, citizens and development partners;
• promoting recommendations based on analysis and evidence.
Logic of changes:
If:
• citizens gain access to information;
• civil society organizations have the ability to monitor;
• development projects are becoming more open;
• recommendations of the society are taken into account when making decisions;
Then:
• transparency of development processes increases;
• accountability of participants is enhanced;
• the quality of decisions made improves;
• development resources are used more efficiently.
Long term impact:
Society becomes more interested and takes concrete actions aimed at sustainable development.

Strategic directions 2026–2030

Direction 1. Promoting sustainable development
Target:
To contribute to the formation of a society interested in sustainable development and capable of taking concrete actions to achieve positive change.
Main tasks:
• increasing citizens’ awareness of the principles of sustainable development;
• development of educational and information initiatives;
• involvement of citizens and civil society organizations;
• promoting sustainable development goals;
• participation in national and international development processes;
• preparation of analytical materials and recommendations.
Expected results:
• increasing the level of awareness of citizens;
• increasing the participation of civil society;
• developing partnerships to promote sustainable development.

Direction 2. Monitoring of External Aid
Target:
Increasing transparency, efficiency and accountability in the use of international aid and development projects in the Kyrgyz Republic.
Main tasks:
• monitoring of projects financed by international partners;
• analysis of the efficiency of resource use;
• assessing whether projects meet the needs of citizens and local communities;
• development of public control mechanisms;
• preparation of independent reports and recommendations;
• promoting dialogue between government agencies, civil society and development partners.
Expected results:
• increasing the availability of information on external assistance;
• strengthening citizen participation in project monitoring;
• increasing the responsibility of project participants;
• improvement of feedback mechanisms.
