On March 26, 2018, the PF “Our Century” in Bangkok, Thailand, within the framework of the Asia-Tachookean Forum on Sustainable Development, organized a workshop on the topic: “Opportunities for CSOs in regional development.”
The workshop was attended by representatives of CSOs from India, Vietnam, Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, etc. Participants received information on the reasons for the “economic miracle” of various countries The main key points for the development of regions, and also developed proposals from CSOs. The groups answered the following questions:
- Reasons for the slow growth of the region and country.
- Assess the development of your region (country) on a scale.
- Imagine that countries have no oil and gas, few natural resources, and what opportunities can be created for rapid growth?
- What exactly can CSOs offer for the development of countries and regions? What do CSOs need to do to contribute to the development of the region?
The participants very actively discussed the situation in the regions. We identified the place of CSOs in each country and developed proposals for the involvement and opportunities of CSOs in the development of regions.
