PF “Nash Vek” took part in the meeting on “Strengthening disaster resilience and accelerating implementation of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction in Central Asia» with representatives Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic, UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction, Bir-Duino Kyrgyzstan, ALE Green Alliance of Kyrgyzstan etc.
At the meeting they discussed: the need to develop a new methodology for measuring damage; development of preventive measures on the problems of desertification, seismic stability, dust storms, soil salinization and other climate changes; the need to promote a green economy; problems of lack of coordinated work between departments; differences between national classifiers; the Sendai Program of Action and its reconciliation tools; failure to use research, knowledge and data Center for Emergency Situations and Disaster Risk Reduction in Almaty and so on.
